Sensex gains over 200 points, Nifty hits fresh high, Zomato, IRB Infra gain
The BSE Sensex gained 144.69 points to open at 69,666.38, and NSE Nifty 50 was up 0.15% while opening at 20,934.10 on Friday.
New Delhi: The benchmark equity indices opened in green on Friday. The BSE Sensex gained 144.69 points to open at 69,666.38, and NSE Nifty 50 was up 0.15% while opening at 20,934.10.
The broader indices also opened in positive territory. The Bank Nifty index opened at 46,797.20 down 44.20 points. The other sectoral indices also opened broadly in green on Friday.
Adani Ports, NTPC, Adani Enterprises, JSW Steel and Hindalco Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty. ICICI Bank, Titan Company, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Bharti Airtel and SBI were the top losers.
JSW Steel, UPL, HCL Tech, LTIMindtree and Hindalco are leading the gains on the NSE Nifty 50 during the early trade today.
