Mumbai man places food order worth Rs 42 lakh in 2023 from Swiggy!
On November 19, during the World Cup Final, people made the maximum number of Pizza order to the tune of 188 per minute.
Mumbai: A Mumbai man reportedly placed food order to a huge tune of Rs 42.3 lakh in 2023 from food chain Swiggy. In a report titled ‘How India Swiggy’d in 2023” released on December 14, Swiggy informed this.
The said repot also revealed many other eyebrow raising statistics. People ordered cakes, gulab jamun, pizza and Biryani the most.
There were also certain occasions during which people placed the maximum number of orders. Jan 1, 2023 was the day when the food chain received huge orders for Biryanis and noodles. Likewise, on May 14 on the occasion of Mother’s Day the company received huge order for chocolate cakes. Besides, in August people preferred to have gulab jamun the most. However, on November 19, during the World Cup Final, people made the maximum number of Pizza order to the tune of 188 per minute.
When it comes to Biryani, this was eighth consecutive year when Biryani retained the top position with 2.5 servings per second through the year in Swiggy.
Especially, though Chicken Biryani was popular, Veg Biryani was also preferred by many consumers. As per the Swiggy report, one veg Biryani ordered for every 5.5 Chicken Biryani.
