McDonald to hire 2000 people from underprivileged communities

New Delhi: The Managing Director of Connaught Plaza Restaurants, the licensee of McDonald’s restaurants for North and East India said recently that the company has planned to hire up to 2,000 people from underprivileged communities in the next three years.

The Company has planned to hire 5000 people in the coming 3 years. It has also planned to enhance the number of outlets especially in the East and North East India.

“In the next three years, we’ll be doubling our stores and that will mean we’ll be requiring about 5,000 people hiring at the entry level for running our stores. Out of that, we are working towards about 1,500 to 2,000 people to be hired from underprivileged communities through an NGO we are working with,” Ranjan told PTI in an interaction, reported Business Standard.

It is to be noted that the company has already opened outlets in Bhubaneswar, Kolkata and Guwahati.
