Yamaha launches MT03 and R3 in India, Check price, engine, features

Yamaha has launched two new two-wheelers the street bike MT03 and R3 in India on Friday. Price starts from 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom).

Yamaha has launched two new two-wheelers the street bike MT03 and R3 in India on Friday. The MT03 has a starting price of 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom) and the updated R3 costs Rs 4.64 lakh (ex-showroom). That means it is Rs 5,000 cheaper than the Yamaha R3.

Yamaha MT03 motorcycle

The Yamaha MT03 is one of the most-anticipated bikes of the month. Featuring a muscular naked bodywork with aggressive and dynamic design, the motorcycle comes powered by 321cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. It is offered with a six-speed gearbox and Makes power of 40.4bhp and torque of 29.4Nm. It has a slipper clutch for better ride control.
The KTM 390 Duke and BMW G 310 R rival packs features like LED headlamps with Predetary looking slant-eye position lights, LED flashers at the front and rear, along with an advanced LCD meter console that displays the fuel capacity, gear position, fuel economy and more.

It has an agile and ergonomic riding position with its high-mounted handlebars, 780mm seat height, and sculpted knee area. The motorcycle offers a stable riding experience with its 573 mm asymmetrical swingarm. It also helps during cornering and acceleration.

The MT-03 is equipped with a 573 mm long asymmetrical swingarm that gives a stable ride during braking, cornering and acceleration and for an even better quality ride the rear shock features optimal pre-load and damping settings.

The bike sports a sculpted tank with aggressive cuts and graphics. Riding on 17-inch wheels at both front and rear, the motorcycle gets a mono-shock and flex-resistant 37mm upside down front forks for suspension. The single discs at the front and rear take care of the handle with dual-channel ABS.

It is a CBU unit from Indonesia and is available in Cyan Blue and Black colour options.

Yamaha R3 Motorcycle

Sporting the same chassis as the MT03, the R3 looks very similar to the R15. It is powered by the same engine as the MT03, which is a 321cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. Paired with a six-speed gearbox, the motor churns out 41.4 Bhp, and 29.6Nm.

It features dual LED headlamps up front and a LCD instrument cluster. An upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock setup at the rear are there for suspension and disc breaks on both ends with dual-channel ABS for the breaking duties of the motorcycle. It weighs 169kg and has a low seat height of 780mm.
