Triumph India set to begin deliveries of Scrambler 400X next week

Triumph will start the deliveries of the recently launched Scrambler 400X in India from the first week of November.

Triumph India will start the deliveries of the Scrambler 400X, which was launched in the country back in June, from the first week of November. The price of the bike was revealed earlier this month and the bookings opened at the time of the launch via online mode or at Triumph dealerships for a refundable token amount of Rs 2,000.

The price of the Triumph Scrambler 400X is set at Rs 2,62,996 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available for sale in three colour options- Matt Khaki Green, Carnival Red, and Phantom Black.

The Scrambler 400X, which is the brand’s most affordable and smallest capacity bike to be on sale, comes with a tall posture, a round headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, round mirrors, and ribbed two-piece seat. The feature list of the bike includes LED illumination, a semi-digital instrument console, traction control, ride-by-wire technology, and switchable dual-channel ABS from Bosch. The bike rides on 19-inch front with a 17-inch rear alloy wheel wrapped in off-road tyres. It gets USD front forks, monoshock, and front and rear discs for breaking.

A 399cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor powers the Scrambler 400X. The engine produces 40bhp and 38Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox featuring slip-and-assist clutch. Triumph has tweaked the gear ratios on the Scrambler to suit the Scrambler 400X’s off-road capabilities.

The Triumph Scrambler 400X competes against the Yezdi Scrambler and the Royal Enfield Scram 411 in this segment.
