Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition is expected to launch on this date of May

Skoda is all set to launch the Monte Carlo edition of Kushaq in India next month. The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo edition will be launched on 9 May, 2022. The SUV has started arriving at the dealerships across the country ahead of the launch. The new edition goes through a lot of cosmetic changes including the interior and exterior. However, the engine of the SUV will remain the same as that of the existing one.

In term of cosmetic treatment, the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo edition gets a black treatment on the exterior which includes-grille, roof and rear-view mirrors. The chrome treatment on the SUV is replaced by black colour and the badging of the SUV is also black. In terms of wheels, the SUV will have 17-inch alloy wheels which will be similar to that of older generation of Octavia (RS245). There will be Monte Carlo badging on the front fenders as well.

The interior of the Kushaq Monte Carlo edition will be equipped with fully digital instrument cluster. Currently, the SUV gets an analog unit. The Monte Carlo edition will have dual-tone red-black upholstery while the dashboard, centre console, and all-four doors get a red accent as well. The Monte Carlo edition is based on the top trim of the Skoda Kushaq Style variant.

The important features that will be available on the SUV are full LED headlamps, ventilated front seats, automatic headlamps and wipers, IRVM with the auto-dimming feature, audio system with 6 speakers, tyre pressure monitoring system, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and  Android Auto etc.

In terms of engine, the Kushaq Monte Carlo edition will be offered with two engine variants- 1.0L 3-cylinder TSI and 1.5L 4-cylinder TSI. The 1.0L variant offers 115 hp of peak power and 175Nm of maximum torque. On the other hand, the 1.5L variant produces 150 hp of power and 250Nm of torque. The Monte Carlo Edition is expected in automatic as well as manual transmission variants.

When it comes to safety features, the Monte Carlo edition of Kushaq gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and rear parking sensors.

Speaking about the price of the Kushaq Monte Carlo edition, it is expected that the variant will be pricier by around Rs 50K- Rs 60K in comparison to the top-spec Kushaq Style variant.
