Ola e bike service to be available in Delhi and Hyderabad, fares to start from just Rs 25

The ride hailing company Ola mobility is bringing electric bike (e bike) services to cities like Delhi and Hyderabad. This comes after the bikes were tested in Bangalore last year.

Based on information that we have, the company plans to have 10,000 e bikes in these three cities within the coming two months. After which, and expansion to other Indian cities is likely.

Ola Company wants to make the e bike services affordable for all. The service will be charged at a mere amount of Rs 25 for a five kilometer ride. Further, the charges will be Rs 50 for 10 kilometers and Rs 75 for 15 kilometers. In an official statement, Ola said that it believes in doing well for the environment, hence the electric bike service. It will also be a convenient and cheap way for people to get around in the cities.

The CEO of Ola mobility, Hemant Bakshi, says that using electric vehicles is crucial to make transportation more affordable. The company has already tested e bikes in Bangalore which worked well for the customers, drivers, and company as well. Now, they aim at doing the same on a bigger scale in Bangalore, Delhi, and Hyderabad.

It is noteworthy mentioning that Ola has already set up 200 charging stations in Bangalore to make sure that the ebikes always have enough power. Needless to say, the company has even bigger plans for the future.

So far, Ola says that they have already given over 1.75 million rides. This move to electric bikes is a part of their plan to grow and provide different services to people in India.
