Nissan Juke facelift makes its debut; offers a better interior and more tech

Nissan Juke facelift has made its debut and the hatchback gets a better interior as well as bunch of more technology. The new hatchback also gets a N-Sport trim that features a new yellow paint scheme on the outer as well as yellow touches in the interior. Nissan has described the update as a mid-lifecycle refresh and the updates were suggested from the side of the customer as feedback.

When it comes to the mechanical aspect of the hatchback, it remains the same as earlier. The Juke gets 1.0-litre engine as well a 1.6-litre engine with electric motor (hybrid). The Juke’s 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol produces as much as 112bhp of max power and 200Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual automatic transmission.

Similarly, the Hybrid version get a 1.6-litre petrol engine with 93bhp power and a electric motor with a 48bhp and a 1.2-kWh battery. The total power is 141bhp. The hybrid version also offers a pure electric driving mode along with a e-Pedal for regenerative braking.

There has been introduction of yellow colour on the hatchback while the brand has redesigned in the interior. Nissan has redesigned the interior of the car with upgraded technology.

On the interior we get a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of 8.0-inch screen, Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay. The Infotainment system also gets USB-A and USB-C sockets on the front. There is an addition of fuel price information as well as speed camera information. Some other important information that we get on the car include navigation directions, fuel economy, tyre pressure and all of that can be controlled with buttons mounted on the steering wheel. The updated car also gets enhancements like the enlarged glovebox, electric handbrake and the wireless charging in limited to higher variants.
