BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik to file nominations for Kantabanji Assembly Constituency today

Bhubaneswar: The Chief Minister of Odisha and Supremo of Biju Janta Dal (BJD), Naveen Patnaik is all set to file nomination papers for Kantabanji Assembly Constituency today.

He is schedule to file his nominations at the Sub-Collector office in Titlagarh. As per the schedule, the CM will land at the Tushra Aerodrome at 10.25 am today, after which he will visit visit City School field from where a public rally will be hold. After this, the CM will pay homage to his father and former Chief Minister of Odisha, Biju Patnaik at Biju Patnaik Chakk.

Later he is set to visit the Sub-Collector office and file nomination at 11.05 am. In view of CM’s visit tight security has been deployed in the town. As per official report, 15 platoon police force and six DSPs has been deployed.

Earlier, the ruling party supremo filed the nomination papers for the Hinjili Assembly seat for upcoming elections. Before filing nominations, the party supremo offered prayer at Tara Tarini Temple in Ganjam district.

It is worth mentioning here that he has contested from Hinjli 5 times and his vote share has never dropped below 65%. In 2000, when he contested for the first time CM had polled 65.35% vote from Hinjli and in 2009, he had polled maximum 76.04% vote.
