2024 KTM Super Duke 1390R unveiled with new features
KTM has launched the new Super Duke 1390R as the successor of the 1290 Super Duke. It sports a new LED headlight, and a bigger tank.
KTM has launched the new Super Duke 1390R along with KTM Super Duke 1390R EVO. This motorcycle is the successor of the 1290 Super Duke. It features a new design language similar to that of the recently unveiled 990 Duke.
The new hyper-fast street bike is more powerful, lighter, agile and feature-rich. The Austrian brand has styled the bike based on the ongoing model except for some changes in headlight and winglets. The new Super Duke 1390R features a vertically stacked LED headlight unit, new tank spoilers, and winglets. The size of the subframe cover has been reduced while covering the brake light for a more streamlined appearance. The 1390 model retains the frame from the 1290 Super Duke R.
It has a 48mm WP Apex forks with adjustable compression, rebound, and preload. The rear shock has also been improved with separate adjustments for high and low-speed compression damping.
KTM has redesigned the fuel tank. The capacity of the fuel tank has also increased to 17.5 litres. The Super Duke 1390R is powered by a new 1350cc LC8 engine, now making a whopping 190bhp of peak power and 145Nm of torque. KTM has installed a new cam shift system in the bike that helps to churn out more power and torque spread. The bike also gets a redesigned airbox, shorter throttle bodies, and ram air system too. The top two gears have also been revised.
The 1390R gets a host of features including a tyre pressure monitoring system, a lean-sensitive traction control system, full-colour TFT, TPMS, Cruise control and KTMConnect functionality. It gets five riding modes- Rain, Street, Sport, Performance, and Track. Buyers also an optional Engine Brake Control and the 5-step adjustable Wheelie Control function.
New KTM Super Duke 1390R Price
This new Super Duke 1390R will go on sale in Europe very soon. The price of the street bike has not been announced yet. But, it is expected to cost a bit more than the outgoing model.
