2024 Bajaj Chetak electric scooter to launch on January 9; Check details

Bajaj Auto will be ushering in the new year with the introduction of an all-new Chetak electric scooter on January 9, 2024. Bajaj has reportedly made notable changes in the Chetak inside out with new design and features. The 2024 Chetak EV will be coming with a larger battery pack, more range, and enhanced performance.

The 2024 Bajaj Chetak is tipped to feature a bigger 3.2 kWh battery pack instead of the current 2.88 kWh battery. The new battery unit will reportedly offer an estimated range of 127 km (IDC) on a single charge. In comparison, the current battery pack produces a range of 113 km on a single charge. The new battery is said to take only 4 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge from 0-100 percent.

With the new battery pack, the motor is expected to have a better performance and is expected to reach a top speed of 73 kmph. The current model of Chetak offers a top speed of 63 kmph.

Apart from this, the new Chetak will also be getting some new additions such as a TFT screen that will replace the current round LCD unit. The new Bajaj Chetak scooter is expected to pack several features such as remote lock/unlock, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and more. Moreover, the storage capacity of the electric scooter is also said to be increased from 18 liters to 21 liters.

Earlier this month, the manufacturer also introduced the 2024 Chetak Urbane variant, and the upcoming model is anticipated to equip most of the enhancements on the top-tier Chetak Premium variant.
