Watch: Flock of sheep promotes Covid-19 vaccination; video viral

A German campaigner made a flock of 700 sheep form into a shape of a giant syringe, hoping it to reach the hearts and minds of people hesitating to take a COVID-19 injection.

Where many countries are unsure if they should impose another jab, Germany has lower its vaccination rates in comparison to other Western European nations.

In a video shared by Reuters, a German man named Hanspeter Etzold can be seen forming a flock of sheep into a shape of a giant syringe to promote awareness over Covid vaccination.

“Sheep are popular with people and carry positive emotional connotations. So perhaps they can reach many people emotionally when logic and scientific reasoning don’t do the job,” said Hanspeter.

Etzold works with shepherds, companies and animals to run team-building events in the northern German town of Schneverdingen.

In the clip, Hanspeter can be seen telling that he has noticed how enthusiastically the sheep are received and that it simply reaches people deep inside, which is perhaps not possible rationally, with rational arguments.

The animals originally belong to shepherd Steffen Schmidt and his wife. The made the sheep follow pieces of bread that they spread on the ground to form the 100 metre long syringe shape. The shot was then filmed by the help of a drone.
