Odisha dips in Janmashtami revelry, Naveen wishes people

Bhubaneswar: With the State celebrating Sri Krishna Janmashtami with much devotion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has wished prosperity and good fortune for all on this occasion.

Taking to his twitter handle this morning, Naveen has expressed his best wishes through Odia posting with a hearty note.

On the occasion of the Janmashtami celebration, Lord Krishna temples across the State were flooded with devotees today who offered puja. Other temples also saw long queues of devotees who reached for the darshan on this holy day in Hindu calendar.

Similarly, tight security arrangement has been made for the celebration of Janmashtami in communally sensitive Kandhamal district. In view of the ‘Balidan Divas’ observation by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Swami Laxmanananda Shradhanjali Samiti tough security arrangements have been made.

This year VHP will celebrate Janmashtami at the Chakapada Ashram set up by Late Swami Laxmananand Saraswati in Kandhamal.
