The Jeep Compass is the most affordable SUV that Indian buyers can purchase in this country. Well, the good news is that the SUV has become more affordable now and the starting price of the Compass is Rs 18.99 lakh. Jeep Compass price drop includes the base Sport variant only and it gets a price drop of Rs 1.70 lakh. Prior to the price drop the SUV used to cost Rs 20.69 lakh.
Even though the base variant gets a price drop, the other variants have witnessed a price hike of Rs 14,000. In India, the Jeep Compass is offered in six variants and including Sport, Longitude, Night Eagle, Limited, Black Shark, and Model S. When it comes to the engine of the SUV, the Jeep Compass Night Eagle is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine along with front-wheel drive configuration. Speaking about power output, the Jeep Compass makes 170hp power and 350Nm torque in all its models. The SUV can be opted with a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 9-speed torque converter automatic. The mileage of the car ranges between 13-15 km/l.
Other than the base variant, all other variants of the Compass get a price hike of Rs 14,000.

Jeep has recently launched the Jeep Meridian X SUV in India and the price of the variant is Rs 34.27 lakh. It is Rs 50K more than the entry-level Limited (O) variant. When it comes to the Meridian X, the SUV gets grey roof and alloy wheels with grey accents. Additional cabin equipment on the Meridian X includes side moulding, puddle lamps, sunshades, air purifier, programmable ambient lighting, an optional rear-seat entertainment package, and a dashcam.
