Pakistan: At least 10 police officers were killed six were injured in a terror attack in Dera Ismail Khan of Pakistan. The attack took place on Monday at the Chodwan police station in Pakistan, reliable reports confirmed.
Reports from reliable sources state that militants with snipers entered the police station buildings and used hand grenades, increasing the number of casualties.
Till now it is not known which group was behind the attack on police station in Pakistan.
Notably, the attack comes about three days ahead of the Pakistan elections. The national election of Pakistan in scheduled on February 8.
Further, it is noteworthy mentioning that terror attacks in Pakistan have increased over the past few months, specifically in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region and Balochistan.
Earlier, the spike in number of terror attacks in Pakistan had raised the chances of elections getting delayed. On this, the Pakistan Election Commission issued a statement saying that they were ready to conduct the polls with the help of Army personnel and other security agencies.
