WhatsApp new update: Users can now create single-vote polls on the platform

WhatsApp is perhaps the most used social messaging platform on Android as well as iOS. Recently, Meta-owned WhatsApp has pushed multiple updates for the platform including single-vote polls.

Single-option polls

The poll creators on the platform can now create single-option polls and this will let people vote once. Meta has clarified that the users can simply turn off ‘allow multiple answers’ option to use this update. The users can now give definitive answers with this latest feature.

Poll updates

The users who are poll creators will now receive notifications on their polls. They will receive notifications when they get responses on their polls. The poll creators can also view the number of people who have voted in the poll.

Search chats

The users on WhatsApp will now be able to filter messages by-polls which are quite similar to searching videos, photos or links.

Adding caption

Users can now forward media (photo or video) along with captions. They are free to add, delete or rewrite the original text. Similarly, users can now share documents along with a caption on them.

The updates are already rolling out globally and the users of WhatsApp will soon get them in the upcoming weeks.
