WhatsApp Beta Update: Some new features that enhance the user experience

Popular messaging App WhatsApp has been updating its platform for the convenience of the users from time to time. The Facebook owned company uses the beta update to add new features on its Android as well as iOS platform. Here are some of the important features that the platform is offering its users via beta updates. Take a look on some of the important features.

Unknown Business Accounts

This ‘Unknown Business Accounts’ feature enables users to identify an unknown contact who uses a business account. It is important to note that this feature is not a new feature but an upgrade over the existing feature. The new feature just changes the placement of alert message for a better experience. According toWABetaInfo, this feature is currently available for Android beta testers only.

Pause and resume option for voice recordings

The pause and resume option for voice message recordings enable a user to record a voice message while pausing it many times. This will be beneficial for those who are not able to record a voice message in one go. A resume button is also present which enables the recording to resume from the point it was paused. This feature is available for those using 2.21.230.16 beta version of iOS.

Delete for Everyone option

This new feature will allow users an extended time limit for ‘Delete for everyone feature’. In order to delete a message, users are now restricted with one-hour time limit. However, with this update the time limit for this feature has been increased to an indefinite period. The new update was visible to ones running WhatsApp’s v2.21.23.1 Android beta version.

New Privacy option for profile photo

Users can enhance the privacy of their profile with the use of this feature. They can filter out the contacts that can see their profile photo. According to reports by WaBetaInfo the above mentioned feature will be extended to ‘Last Seen’ and ‘About status’ features.

Sharing HD features

As reported by WaBetaInfo users can now share high quality pictures on the platform. The feature is available for Android beta testers only. Under this feature, three options are provided to the users. Users get an option for Best Quality, Data Saver and Auto mode etc. Users can decide for themselves, whether they want to exchange pictures in a high quality or a compressed quality.
