Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi A2 series will be launching in the Indian market on May 19 with a massive 5,000 mAh battery.
Xiaomi has officially announced that the Redmi A2 series will be launching in the Indian market on May 19, 2023. The Redmi A2 series will include two devices named- Redmi A2 and the A2+ model, which will be released in the region later this month.
The company has confirmed that the Redmi A2 smartphone will feature octa-core processor, dual camera setup, Android 13 Operating System, a large display, and a massive 5,000mAh battery. Redmi has made a live page for the Redmi A2. The page shows the phone with a leather like back design.

Redmi A2 series
Redmi launched the A2 series smartphones back in March 2023 in the global markets. Now, it has will finally arrive in India on May 19, 2023. The two smartphones are quite similar to one another and feature some very similar specifications expect for the rear mounted fingerprint scanner.
The global variants of the smartphones features 6.52 inch HD+ LCD panel and are equipped with a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. Both the smartphone sport a 5 megapixel selfie camera on the front, while the rear features an 8 megapixel dual camera setup with a secondary depth sensor.
Under the hood, the two devices are powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack but with just standard 10W charging support. Apart from this, both devices will run on Android 13 Go Edition.
The Redmi A2+ model has a rear mounted fingerprint scanner, which is absent in the base model.
Based on what we know so far, the A2 and A2+ will launch in India in multiple color options, which includes the Light Blue, Light Green and Black variants. Furthermore, the two smartphones also feature a leather like back panel. The Redmi A2 series will be sold on Amazon, as well as offline stores and the company’s official website.
