Now, a tipster has shared that the device could launch globally in January 2024 and the India launch will take place after that. The details on the exact launch date are unknown, but it is being said that the company could also unveil its more affordable OnePlus 12R model at the same event.

The OnePlus 12 has been confirmed to come with a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and BOE’s latest LTPO OLED display. The device will feature BOE’s X1 Oriental Screen with a 2K resolution, 2,600nits peak brightness, and a DisplayMate A+ rating.
OnePlus China President, Li Jie, has also disclosed on Weibo that the OnePlus device will house a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The phone is tipped to sport a OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3x optical zoom.
OnePlus has shared camera samples, showcasing the periscope zoom’s prowess, particularly in low-light conditions.
The upcoming OnePlus smartphone is rumoured to arrive with a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultrawide Sony IMX581 sensor, and the aforementioned 64-megapixel 3x telephoto zoom lens. For selfies, a 32-megapixel sensor may grace the front. The flagship is expected to retain the iconic alert slider and feature an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Under the hood, the handset will likely be packed with 5,400mAh battery, which could have support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging technology.

The OnePlus 12 will be launched as the successor to the OnePlus 11, which was launched in India at a price of Rs 56,999. So, it is expected that the OnePlus 12 will be placed in a similar price range.
