From OnePlus Nord 2T to iQOO Neo6 SE: List of upcoming smartphones launching in May 2022

We are going to see multiple smartphone launch from various brands like Sony, Samsung, Vivo, OnePlus, and others in the month of May. Vivo has laready launched the Vivo T1 Pro 5G and Vivo T1 44W today (Wednesday). Let us check out what the upcoming smartphones in May 2022 will bring to us.

Upcoming Smartphones in May 2022

Vivo T1 Pro 5G

Vivo T1 Pro 5G and T1 44W has already debuted in India under the Vivo T1 series in India today. The Vivo T1 Pro 5G will come with an AMOLED panel featuring 1300 nits of peak brightness and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The other highlights of the phone includes a 64MP main lens, the Snapdragon 778G SoC and a 4700mAh battery with a 66W fast charging support. It also have an 8-layer liquid cooling system and boot on Android 12 OS.

Vivo T1 44W

On the other hand, the Vivo T1 44W features an AMOLED panel and is powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging support. It runs on Android 12  OS out of the box.

iQOO Neo6 SE 

iQOO Neo6 SE is going to be introduced on May 6 (Friday) in China. The smartphone is likely to come with a 6.62-inch punch-hole OLED panel display with a Full-HD+ resolution. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200Hz touch sampling rate, and HD10+ certification. The smartphone will feature a 64MP primary camera with OIS support. The company will pack the phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and a 4,700mAh battery that will have 80W fast charging technology.

ZTE Axon 40 

Smartphone manufacturer ZTE is scheduled to launch new smartphones under the Axon 40 series on May 9 in China. The upcoming smartphones are expected be the Axon 40, Axon 40 Pro, and Axon 40 Ultra. The series will come with an independent security chip for hardware-level protection.

The Axon 40 Pro handset will come with a 100-megapixel camera setup, while the Axon 40 Ultra will come equipped with a 64MP triple camera system and a 16MP under-display selfie camera having 2.24μm pixel fusion technology. The series will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

Sony Xperia 1 IV

Sony Xperia 1 IV is expected to be launched at the company’s launch event on May 11. The smartphone is likely to come with a 6.5-inch display with 4K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and HDR support. It is also expected to come with a big 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM.  The handset is speculated to come with a ZEISS branded triple camera system.

Vivo X80

Vivo X80 series, which has already debuted in China, will arrive in Malaysia and India on May 8 and May 18 respectively. The series will have two smartphones–the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro.

Both the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro will be equipped with a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1500 nits of peak brightness, and 100% P3 color gamut. The vanilla X80 Pro, however, sports a QHD+ resolution panel. Under the hood, the X80 will have Dimensity 9000 SoC and will pack a 4,500mAh battery. The X80 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and a 4,700mAh cell. The phones have an 80W fast charging support and runs on Android 12 OS out of the box.

The X80 will feature a triple camera system including a 50MP IMX866 sensor, 12MP shooter and a 12MP sensor. Whereas, the X80 Pro will flaunt a quad-camera system that houses a 50MP GNV 1G camera sensor, a 48MP sensor, a 12MP shooter and an 8MP sensor. Both the device will features a 32MP selfie snappers.

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G

Samsung’s Galaxy A13 5G is expected to launch this month. It has gained multiple certifications. Samsung has also made a support page for the device on its official website. The device was spotted with the model number SM-A136B . It will will come with a 6.5-inch PLS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an HD+ resolution. The smartphone will feature a 50MP triple camera system and will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, paired with up to 4GB RAM + 64GB configuration. It may  boot on Android 12 OS.

OnePlus Nord 2T

OnePlus is expected to introduce another smartphone called OnePlus Nord 2T this month. The smartphone will likely be the successor of the Nord 2. It will come with some upgraded features than its predecessor. The smartphone was spotted on a few certifications recently.

The device is said to arrive with a 50MP primary camera having an aperture of f/1.9 and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) support. The other camera will be an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP depth shooter, and a 32MP selfie sensor. It is expected to be powered by the MediaTek’s Dimensity 1300 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It will likely pack a 4,500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging technology.

Redmi Note 12 

Redmi Note 12 series is likely to be launched this month as the company has started teasing the device. The series will likely have the Note 12 and Note 12 Pro. The series will debut this month in China. The Note 12 series is said to have received a upgrade that will increase its performance as compare to its predecessor. However, there’s no detail as to what chipset the phones would board. The design and the camera details are also yet to be known.

Samsung Galaxy A04s

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy A04s this month. The smartphone’s renders have already surfaced on the Internet. The device will have an improved design and specs sheet as compared to Galaxy A03.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A04s will sport a new design on the rear and will retain the same waterdrop notch screen on the front. The smartphone will feature a 6.5-inch display with an HD+ resolution and a triple rear camera system. It is expected to be powered by an entry-level chipset and to boot on the Android 12 OS.
