Datsun Go, Go+ Launched In India; Booking Starts
New Delhi: Automaker Datsun has unveiled the 2019 versions of its Go and GO+ MUV ahead of their launch on October 9 in India. The company also announced that those desiring to purchase the new models can go for pre-launch booking across all authorised dealerships by paying a booking amount of only Rs. 11,000.
The new Datsun Go and Go+ will be available in two new colours – Amber Orange and Sunstone Brown respectively. The cars feature makeover in the front grille, bumper and the headlamps. They also get LED daytime running lights and larger 14-inch wheels in the higher-spec variants. The cars come with revamped interiors and are expected to support connectivity options like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, AUX and USB inputs.
Datsun is also expected to add driver-side airbag and ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard safety features across the trim-range. The vehicles are likely to have AMT (automated manual transmission option) but they might retain the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
The current models of the Datsun Go and Go+ have been priced in a range of Rs 3.38-4.41 lakh and Rs 3.95-5.25 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. With upgraded features, the 2019 variants are expected to be priced higher by at least Rs. 30,000.
