Apple unveils new 13-inch, 15-inch MacBook Air models with powerful M3 chip
In recent news, Apple has revealed the latest models of the MacBook Air. It is noteworthy mentioning that the latest models of MacBook Air come equipped with the M3 chipset. In the 2024 MacBook Air lineup, the 13-inch and 15-inch models will come with subtle upgrades.
When compared to the earlier M1 MacBook Air, the company claims that the new lightweight laptop work 60 percent faster. The company also claims that the new model will last up to 18 hours on a single charge.
Back in 2023, the company made certain changes to the MacBook Pro lineup and included the M3 SoC to its flagship-tier models.
Let us now talk about the availability and price of the latest models in India.
The 13-inch Apple MacBook Air with M3 chipset is available at Rs 1,14,900 for the base variant of 8 GB RAM + 256 GB Storage. Meanwhile, the 8 GB + 512 GB model has been priced at Rs 1,54,900 and the 16 GB + 512 GB variant costs Rs Rs 1,74,900.
Now, let us move to the specifications and features of the new Apple MacBook Air models with M3 chipset.
It is important to mention that both the new models are powered by the M3 SoC. The same System on Chip also powers the MacBook Pro models of 2023 lineup. Moreover, the devices also come with new 16-core Neural engine. Apple claims that this will give the machine learning a major boost. With this, the new models will become the “world’s best consumer laptop for AI.” The Liquid Retina display in the models can go up to 500 nits of brightness. The M3 SoC is equipped with an 8-core processor, a 10-core integrated GPU with ray-tracing, and supports up to 24 GB of unified memory.
It is noteworthy mentioning that both the 13-inch and 15-inch models are “less than half an inch thick.” The models also support Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos. Further, they come with a 1080 pixel camera and a total of three microphones.
Talking about the connectivity, the new Apple MacBook Air have two Thunderbolt ports, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It will be available in four color options- midnight, starlight, space grey, and silver.
