Apple releases macOS Monterey 12.4 update, Check out the key features

Apple has released the macOS Monterey 12.4 for its Mac users. Its the fourth major update that the company has released for its macOS Monterey OS. Apple rolled out the fourth update ‘macOS Monterey 12.4’ after two months of releasing the macOS Monterey 12.3.

What’s new in macOS Monterey 12.4

Universal Control feature

The new macOS update has brought the stable version of Universal Control features for its users. Previously, the features was introduced in the macOS Monterey 12.3 in March in beta of this update. The Universal Control feature allows users to use a single mouse/trackpad and keyboard combination across multiple Macs and iPads.

New setting for Podcasts app

With the latest macOS update, Apple has added a new setting to the Podcasts app to limit the number of episodes stored on the device and automatically delete old episodes.

Apart from this, the tech giant has added Support for Studio Display Firmware Update 15.5 that will help to refine the webcam quality with improved noise reduction, contrast and framing. You can downloaded it  separately.

The macOS Monterey operating system can be updated to the latest version in all eligible Macs by downloading it through the Software Update section under System Preferences. For those who are still using macOS Big Sur and Catalina, Apple has issued a macOS Big Sur 11.6.6 update and a macOS Catalina 2022-004 security update too.
