Apple iPhone XS To Be Launched At A Mega Event In California Today

California: Apple is all set to launch its latest trio of new iPhones including two premium upgrades called the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, besides iPhone Xc- a cheaper device that will be a successor to iPhone 8. It is also being rumoured that the new Apple Watch Series 4 may also be announced at the event.

The new iPhones will be launched at a mega event in Apple Park’s Steve Jobs Theatre, California. As per reports, all the three new devices will possess an edge-to-edge screen alike the iPhone X besides featuring a TrueDepth camera that will be used for Face ID.  Two of the iPhones may feature premium OLED (organic LED) screens while the third may have a cheaper LCD screen.

All the three devices boost of significantly longer battery life owing to the latest Apple-designed A12 processor. While the OLED models may be on sale in September, the LCD model will hit the market in October.

Adhering to its “S year” lineup in 2018, Apple will mostly include internal upgrades rather than a complete design overhaul in devices. Last year, the company had launched iPhone X to commemorate its tenth anniversary. Although appreciated for its enhanced features, the device could not sell much due to its relatively expensive price of £1,000.
