Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max tipped to feature a 48MP Periscope telephoto camera

Apple is tipped to equip the iPhone 17 Pro Max with a 48-megapixel Periscope telephoto camera that can be used with the vision pro.

Apple launched the latest iPhone 15 series just a few months back in September 2023. Soon following the launch of the iPhone 15 lineup, leaks started arriving about the iPhone 16. Now, we have got some information about the iPhone 17 series phones.

The leak has been made by an analyst Jeff Pu. The analyst has directly skipped the next-generation iPhone 16 models that are likely to be launched in 2024 and has talked about the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max, which might make its debut in 2025 if there is no problem in the middle.

According to Jeff Pu, Apple will equip the iPhone 17 Pro Max with a 48-megapixel Periscope telephoto camera. He also added that the tech giant might optimize the 48-megapixel sensor to make it compatible so that it can be used with the latest Vision Pro headset.

Moreover, the spatial video recording feature that was recently rolled out with the latest iOS 17.2 update, can also be expected in the Pro models of the iPhone 17. The spatial video feature can be used for playback on the Vision Pro.

However, there is no guarantee all the above features would be seen in the final iPhone 17 Pro Max as there is still quite a bit of time till its launch.
