Anandapur: In a shocking incident, a youth has allegedly beaten his grandmother to death in Keonjhar district of Odisha, said reports on Wednesday.
According to details obtained in this case, a youth killed his grandmother in Keonjhar beat up his grandmother and killed her. He also allegedly assaulted his maternal uncle and aunt.
The incident has been reported from, Saralapasi village under Soso police station limits in Keonjhar. The incident allegedly took place in the late hours of night on Tuesday.
The attacker (accused) youth who killed his grandmother in Keonjhar has been identified as Abhi Munda. The deceased has been identified as Mini Munda. He attacked is uncle identified as Kalia Munda. In order to save her son, the woman rushed forward and was hit and died on the spot.
The locals heard the commotion and rushed into the house to see the old woman dead lying in a pool of blood. They immediately caught hold of Abhi and tied him up to a tree and beat him up.
The Soso police arrived at the spot and saved the youth. An investigation has been launched in this matter. Detailed reports awaited.
