Youth beaten to death by transgender friend over alleged same sex relationship in Odisha
In a ghastly incident, a youth was beaten to death by his friend over his alleged same sex relationship at Sagadabhanga village in Odisha’s Khurda district.
Khurda: In a ghastly incident, a youth was beaten to death by his friend over his alleged same sex relationship at Sagadabhanga village in Odisha’s Khurda district.
One Rasmiranjan Baliarshing of Sagadabhanga village had taken his transgender friend, Somnath Lal, to his house with the aim to give him a role in a jatra show.
However, Somnath allegedly attacked Rasmiranjan with an iron rod while no one was there in the house. Later, he fled the spot after looting gold ornaments and locking the door of the house from outside.
Upon their arrival, Rasmiranjan’s family members made several calls to him. Later, they broke open the door as he did not receiving the call. They found him dead lying on a pool of blood.
Soon, a team of cops from the Jankia Police station reached the spot after getting information about the incident and started an investigation into the matter. They have launched a search operation to trace Somnath and nab him.
Meanwhile, Rasmiranjan’s body has been sent to the hospital for postmortem.
