Cuttack: A youth has committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of his room over failed love in Malasahi area of Cuttack on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Biswanath Swain, a resident of the same area.
Some neighbours came across the body of the victim and called up the Commissionerate Police post which the suicide came to light.
Police seized a suicide note written in English by the side of the deceased from which it came pretty clear that the deceased has committed suicide. In the letter, Biswanath has mentioned that he was in love with a girl for the past few years however she ditched him to marry another boy recently.
Remaining under immense mental stress he chose to take the extreme step, says the suicide note.
While police have seized the body of the deceased, the authenticity of the suicide note is being examined.
