Keonjhar: A woman committeed suicide by jumping in front of a running train at Nusuripasi village under Ghatagaon police limits in Keonjhar district on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Shantilata Behera, wife of Madhu Behera of the same locality.
As per the report, Shantilata had a verbal altercation with one of her family members this morning over some issue. Later in a fit of rage, she went to a railway track passing near the village and jumped before the train to die on the spot.
Police rushed to the spot following intimation and sent the body for autopsy.
A case of unnatural death has been lodged in connection with the incident.
