Woman Arrested For Posing As IPS Officer In Bhubaneswar, Gun And Uniform Seized

Bhubaneswar: A woman has been arrested for posing as an IPS Officer in Bhubaneswar.

The woman had allegedly called the police reserve force and pressurized them to change a particular constable’s duty.

The Capital Police Station has arrested the woman and is questioning her on the matter. The woman has been identified as Sarmishta Behera.

She had worn an IPS logo along with her fake ‘khaki’ police uniform. A notice has been issued to Sarmishta under Section 41 of CrPC and she has been allowed to go.

A fake uniform and gun has been seized from her possession.
