Puri: Beniapukar police from West Bengal arrested five persons accused of a murder attempt in Kolkata, from here on Saturday.
The arrested persons have been identified as Faizal Hak, Murak Hak, Mohammed Armaan, Azad Alam and Sheikh Shahenshah.
West Bengal police traced the accused and nabbed them from a hotel at Marine Drive Road in Baliapanda with the help of the local police.
According to police officials, the accused were absconding since August 22 after attempting to murder one Ahmed Pervez, an established businessman in Kolkata.
The neighboring state police will take the accused to Kolkata for interrogation after producing them at the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Assistance Sessions Judge.
