Two wanted robbers arrested in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Police arrested two wanted robbers from Kalinga Nagar area under Khandagiri Police limits here in Odisha on Monday.

The accused robbers have been identified as Niranjan Swain and Nalu Swain. Both robbers are the resident of Astaranga in Puri district.

The duo was wanted in connection with at least 11 robbery cases in Bhubaneswar and earlier involved in 48 similar cases in other areas in the state, police said.

Police seized all together 70 grams of gold and 159 grams of silver ornaments from their possession. They also recovered one Hoda Hornet bike which was stolen from Khandagiri and one Scooty stolen from Dhauli areas in the city from the accused.

Besides, one Sukanta Sahu of Bajapur under Konark police limits in Puri district who has received the stolen properties from the accused,  was also arrested.

The accused will be court forwarded and investigation is under way, police said.
