Balasore: Just two days before his wedding day, a 28-year-old youth was attacked with razors by unidentified miscreants in Nilagiri area of Odisha’s Balasore district late last night.
According to reports, the groom-to-be Manoj Behera had visited Kalijhati area to distribute the invitation cards for his marriage ceremony scheduled on January 19.
While the youth was returning home, three miscreants intercepted him at around 11.00 PM and threatened not to marry the girl with whom he was engaged to tie the knot.
The miscreants thrashed Manoj and attacked him with razors before fleeing from the spot.
The locals rescued Manoj in a critical condition and rushed him to the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Nilagiri for treatment.
On being informed, Nialgiri police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
