Thief caught by school kids in Bhubaneswar, beaten up by locals
In a praiseworthy incident, a thief was caught by school kids in Bhubaneswar on Saturday and then handed over to the police.
Bhubaneswar: In a praiseworthy incident, a thief was caught by school kids in Bhubaneswar on Saturday and then handed over to the police.
According to reports, the incident took place near an ATM in the Palasuni area of Bhubaneswar. The thief was planning to loot jewellery showroom by spraying a sedative substance.
The thief was trying to get away when the school kids who were passing by managed to overpower him and catch hold of him.
The modus operandi of the thief was that he used to spray the shopkeepers and salespersons in the eye and loot their stores. In this case, he was managing to flee after looting the store when the kids caught hold of him.
The locals then surrounded the thief and beat him up blue and black before handing him over to the Mancheswar police. The police has started an investigation in this regard and has detained the thief.
