Telegram turns a medium of fraud, woman siphons off Rs. 9.5 lakh in Bhubaneswar

The online app Telegram has now turned into a new medium of fraud in Bhubaneswar, said reports in Monday. 

Bhubaneswar: The online app Telegram has now turned into a new medium of fraud in Bhubaneswar, said reports in Monday. A young businessman was lured and became a victim of fraud of Rs. 9.5 lakh rupees.

According to the complaint, the task was given to provide likes and ratings with various directions. The complainant first deposited Rs. 800 and then deposited Rs.10,000 and withdrew Rs.13,000. After completing the 28 steps, the complainant deposited 9.5 lakh rupees in the greed of getting money.

Similarly, a woman was cheated of Rs. 1 lakh 13 thousand rupees in various installments by someone pretending to teach modeling to her son on Telegram.
