Angul: Rail commuters including former Union Minister Jual Oram had a tough time as the Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express, in which they were travelling in, remained stranded for 6 hours since last night at different stations in Angul district.
As per the report, due to technical snag, the train suffered engine failure and stopped at Angul Railway Station late last night for over three hours. While the technical team shorted out the problem enabling the train to resume its journey later, it suffered a similar issue at Bamur Station this morning.
Union Minister Oram who was travelling in the train with Rashtriya Swaymsevak Sangh (RSS) Kshetra Sampark Pramukh PK Mishra from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela sought the intervention of Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal to restore the service.
Oram wrote on Twitter:

After the necessary repairing work by railway engineers, the train has resumed its journey of late. It is running six hours late.
