Tamil Nadu Police Arrest Youth From Odisha Village On Charges Of Theft

Keonjhar: A special team of Tamil Nadu Police arrested a youth from Taradipal village under Ghasipura Police limits for allegedly committing theft in Chennai.

The accused has been identified as Gauranga Jena of Anandapur in Keonjhar district.

As per reports, Jena was working as a domestic help at the house of one Syed Liaquat Ali at Thiruvanmiyur in Chennai.

Police said that a case was registered against two persons- Gauranga Jena and Shiba Nayak in August for allegedly committing theft of cash, gold ornaments and foreign currency from the house of Ali.

Police said that a team of police personnel from Tamil Nadu has conducted raids at the house of Jena several times but failed to nab him. However, the police team managed to nab Jena late last night while the other accused in the case managed to give slip to the police.
