Koraput: The Odisha Police on Wednesday busted a fake gutkha (tobacco) manufacturing unit at Damanjodi road in Koraput district and arrested one person in this connection, informed Sunabeda SDPO. The arrested accused has been identified as a resident of Hyderabad.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Sunabeda police conducted raid at the illegal factory and seized fake tobacco products worth 50 lakhs of rupees.
The cops have seized gutkha manufacturing machine, chemicals for the production of gutkhas along with several packets from the factory. The raid is further underway, added Sunabeda SDPO.
