Malkangiri: Police today arrested a sorcerer who bit a woman in order to cure her illness at Urmaguda village under Kalimela block in the district.
The video of the sorcerer identified as Kosa Beti biting the woman multiple times to cure her illness has hone viral on social media.
MV 79 police today arrested the sorcerer on charges of molestation. “The accused was arrested under section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 354 (outraging the modesty) of Indian Penal Code,” said a police official.
The woman Dule Beti was suffering from high fever for three days when the family members decided to seek the help of the sorcerer instead of taking her to the hospital.
