Tragic ! Man jumps into wife’s funeral pyre in Odisha, dies

Dharmagarh: In a tragic incident, a man died as he jumped into the funeral pyre of his wife at the cremation ground at Sialjodi village under Kegaon Police limits of Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Tuesday.

The deceased husband has been identified as Nilamani Sabar of the village.

As per reports, Raibari Sabar, the wife of the deceased died due to heart attack, following which the last rites were performed in front of the relatives.

Nilamani went towards the funeral pyre and jumped into it. He sustained critical burn injuries and died on the spot.
