Shocking! Driver loots nearly 10 lakhs from owner through online fraud

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a driver has looted nearly 10 lakhs from his owner through online fraud in Bhubaneswar.

Reportedly, the driver, identified as Manoj, had downloaded the online payment application ‘Phone Pe’ on his owner’s mobile phone.

He used to transfer money to his own bank account as well as his mother, father, sister’s account several times. Till the last reports came in, he looted a total of Rs 9,95,000 from his owner’s bank account.

Later when the owner gained knowledge about his bank statement, he lodged a complaint with Cyber Police Station.

On getting the information, the cops initiated a manhunt to apprehend Manoj, and arrested him. A probe has been initiated into cyber fraud.
