Bhubaneswar: The CBI has taken Shuvra Kundu into 5-day remand in connection with the Rose Valley Chit Fund case.
The CBI had brought Shuvra Kundu to Bhubaneswar yesterday in connection with the Rose Valley Chit Fund case.
They had presented her in a special CBI court yesterday which allowed her to be taken into a five day remand for further questioning.
The CBI had arrested Shuvra Kundu, wife of Rose Valley Group Chairman Gautam Kundu, in connection with the chit fund scam.
Shuvra was wanted by the CBI and the ED. Rose Valley project has been accused of defrauding thousands of depositors. Gautam Kundu has been in jail since March 2015.
Gautam’s wife Shuvra Kundu runs a jewellery business.
