Rising Covid Cases In Odisha; Beds In SCB Medical College And Hospital Increased

Cuttack: There has been an alarming rise in Covid positives in Odisha. In order to face the situation preparedness is being increased at all levels across the State.

The government has decided to increase the number of beds in the SCB Medical College and Hospital due to the growing number of infections. It has been decided that the number of beds in SCB shall be increased from 250 to 315.

It has also been decided that, the number of ICU beds shall be increased from 23 to 63.

Currently, 162 people are being treated for the novel coronavirus at the hospital informed the SCB Medical College Emergency Officer Bhuvanananda Maharana.

It is noteworthy that Odisha today recorded a shocking high of 2989 Covid positives with 208 cases from Cuttack.
