Balasore: A huge cache of fishes including as many as 121 rare Telia Bhola were netted in the deep sea off Odisha coast in the Digha estuary area on Friday. The fishes are said to be worth crores of rupees due to its medicinal value.
As per reports, the trawler number 7 ventured into the deep sea on Friday and spread fishing net. Later, a lot of fishes got entangled in the net including 121 rare Telia Bhola fishes. Each of these fishes are said to be 17 to 18 kg in weight. After the news about the big catch spread, hundreds of people flocked to the spot to witness the rare fish.
The fishes were then auctioned that reportedly earned more than Rs 1 crore.
Experts are of the opinion that Telia Bhola fishes have high medicinal value as lifesaving drugs are made out of it.
