Rainfall likely in 21 districts of Odisha: Yellow warning issued

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for as many as 21 districts of Odisha for rainfall today.

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for as many as 21 districts of Odisha for rainfall today that is on Monday.

The IMD’s regional centre in Bhubaneswar in its weather bulletin said thunderstorm with lightening, hail, and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is also very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Sambalpur.

Likewise, thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh.

Several districts of Odisha will likely receive rainfall under the influence of kalbaisakhi for the next four days.

As per reports, a low pressure line extending from south Chhattisgarh to Arabian Sea and a high-pressure line is active over Odisha and the coastal areas. As a result, a sufficient amount of water vapor is entering the state. There will be no significant change in temperature for the next 4 days.
