Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Friday predicted light to moderate thundershower with lightning in 26 districts of Odisha.
There will be moderate rain and thundershowers with one or two intense or heavy spells of rain in some parts of Sonepur, Kandhamal, Nayagarh , Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Boudh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Ganjam, Kalahandi, Balangir , Bargarh ,Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal, Angul, Gajapati, Rayagada, Sambalpur and Jajpur districts within next three hours.
Water logging in low lying area, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban area is likely to occur in the concerned districts. Hence, avoid movement in affected area.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike.
