Puri: Odisha Government has provided financial assistance to 117 kids under the Ashirvad Yojana today, who had lost their parents or either of the parents in Covid.
In a meeting held at the Sadbhavana house in Puri, Collector Samarth Verma inaugurated the Yojana. The kids who have lost both their parents were provided an amount of Rs. 2500 while the kids who have lost either father or mother were given Rs. 1500.
On the other hand, keeping in view the third wave of Covid the number of ICU will be enhanced while the number of Covid tests will be raised. Also, health workers will visit door to door to keep an eye on the health of kids, informed the Collector.
