Cyclone likely to cross Odisha coast around May 10!

Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar informed that a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over South Andaman Sea and the neighborhood around May 4.

Under the influence, a Low-Pressure Area is likely to form over the same region around May 6 which is likely to become more marked during the subsequent 24 hours.

Different weather models have predicted that the low-pressure may intensify into a cyclone and cross the Odisha-West Bengal coast around May 10.

However, IMD has not yet predicted the probable path of the cyclone and its landfall.

The weather department has expected that a clear picture of the movement of the possible cyclone will be known by May 7.

Adding to it, sources have said that in case the cyclone circulation heads towards Odisha, districts like Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar is likely to be affected.
