Bhubaneswar: The ‘deaddiction, reformation, and entrepreneurial assistance for making a safe society’ (DREAMS), of the Commissionerate Police has yielded results as the project has helped at least 50 drug addicts to come back to normalcy.

It is to be noted here that the city police had launched the DREAMS project in February this year with an aim to help the drug addicts, who were involved in snatching, theft or other property-related offences in the city, to return to normal life.

The drug addicts were identified and were lodged at the deaddiction centres. The cops had facilitated their treatment and arranged counselling sessions for them.

Besides, they were engaged in different activities like yoga, dance and playing chess. Proper food and other facilities were provided at the deaddiction centres which helped the drug addicts to return to normalcy now.
