Jagatsinghpur: Timely intervention by police prevented loot attempt at a Bank of Baroda ATM kiosk in Jagatsinghpur last night. Police said that though the miscreants were able to tamper the cash machine, they could not take away any cash.
Police said that they rushed to the ATM counter after the police control room received a phone call from the head office of the bank in Mumbai about some unlawful activities being carried out in the ATM kiosk.
However, the four miscreants trying to break open the kiosk managed to escape from the spot. “A case has been registered in this connection and we are trying to identify the miscreants involved in the crime through the CCTV installed inside the ATM kiosk,” said a police official.
